How Iyan works
See it for yourself: what changed, who said it, and in what words.
From news to development
- Gather: coverage from news agencies, official bodies, newspapers and news platforms, in Arabic and English.
- Group: all coverage of the same event becomes one “development”, so you see the number of independent publishers instead of repetition.
- Write: AI writes a summary and key points from the source texts only.
- Verify: every point must be backed by a verbatim quote from a source; we check automatically that the quote exists. Unsupported points are removed or marked “no quote”.
- Update: when new coverage arrives, a “what's new” line is written and followers are notified.
The iris
The ring next to each development is split by its number of independent sources; a coral pupil means it has quote-verified points or an official source.
Ranking
We rank by importance (independent publishers, speed of coverage, official sources), source reliability, freshness and relevance to your field and interests. Clickbait headlines are penalised, and we never rank by clicks.
AI
Headlines, summaries, points, translations and the field lens are AI-written and labelled as such. Only quotes are verbatim source text.
Corrections
If you find an error, tap “Report an error” on the development page. We review reports, correct and re-write the development, and the correction appears in its timeline.
